Overview
Adriana specializes in federal court litigation, with a focus on defending businesses that have been sued under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA), or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Adriana also represents businesses and individuals facing lawsuits for trademark and copyright infringement. She has litigated hundreds of cases in federal court, defending a diverse clientele ranging from start-ups to large multinational companies across various industries, including shipping, entertainment, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, finance, construction, and professional services.
Adriana has helped many businesses defend against TCPA / FTSA lawsuits in the Southern District, Middle District, and Northern District of Florida, as well as in state courts in Florida. She is highly familiar with her opponents, the judiciary, and the law.
She has also defended many copyright infringement lawsuits in the Southern District, Middle District, and Northern District of Florida, and possesses extensive knowledge of copyright and intellectual property laws.
Her legal expertise extends across borders, languages, and cultures. As a multilingual attorney licensed to practice in the U.S. and Venezuela, Adriana provides valuable insights into Latin American – U.S. business transactions and relationships and has served as an expert on matters involving Venezuelan law.
In addition to her litigation practice, Adriana assists U.S. companies and HR departments in securing work visas and permanent residence for their foreign workers. She also offers guidance to U.S. employers on I-9 compliance.
Adriana is a familiar face in the media, regularly appearing as a legal analyst on local and national platforms such as Univision, CNN, Miami Herald, and NPR WLRN. She is a consistent contributor on legal issues for Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald.
Beyond her legal contributions, Adriana holds the position of immediate Past President of the Venezuelan American National Bar Association.
