Of Counsel to the firm, Eric has over thirty years experience in Intellectual Property law with a focus primarily in copyright and trademark matters, including literary property, music, film, television, sculpture, and computer programs – both transactional and litigation. Formerly the Chair of the Intellectual Property Department at a regional law firm, his practice includes trademark registration, litigation, including infringement and Lanham Act violations.
Eric has an array of clients who have sought his counsel in all matters related to advertising. He has for the past ten years represented a major software company and is experienced in joint venture and licensing matters in that specialty. Beginning his career as President of Cook Records, Eric has become an acclaimed legal expert in the music industry representing the interests of record companies and world-famous recording artists alike. He is also experienced in all matters related to the entertainment industry.
In addition, Eric has a significant commercial practice, both transactional and litigation. Eric has been New York Counsel for International Blimpie Corporation for decades, and has extensive experience in franchising.
Eric is married with two grown daughters. Before practicing law, Eric was a successful fine artist, having sold over 100 paintings. He is an owner of family bratwurst manufacturing and restaurant business dating from 1431. He enjoys tennis and sailing.
